Earlier this month I went through the process of installing theme and plugin updates for all the WordPress sites I host. I actively try to keep the sites updated as a I learned the hard way the damage and out-of-date plugin can cause. On the old gallery site I was using ZenPhoto which unlike WordPress, is not an easy application to install updates. So I had neglected to update the site for a while. Hopefully this will be the last time I will have to move The Gallery for a long while. As mentioned before, for security reasons I had to shutdown the old gallery which was using ZenPhoto. I am working on getting the Gallery setup on a new content provider. While I did like the layout of Zen Photo, it has been a source of security issues on our server which has affected some of our sister sites. It appears the Gallery had gone down on November 10th due to some issues with the gallery software. Users we’re seeing an HTTP 500: Internal Server error. We made some updates to the gallery platform (ZenPhoto) and were able to get the gallery restore on November 22nd. At this time there has been no new photos added since this past summer. I do have some photos on my Android that I still need to download and hope to get those posted in the coming weeks.
I really not sure what I did to get this to work. I had done a fresh install in another folder and had it working there, but a lot of the customizations were missing. I started poking around in the original folder trying to see if I could figure out what was wrong. Why was I getting a PHP White Screen of Death when attempting to access the gallery? Even looked at my servers error logs, which didn’t really tell me a whole lot. I somehow figured out that it seemed to be choking on the admin.php file. So I…
El Guru’s Gallery is currently offline. I am attempting to fix an issue that was caused by updating the core gallery software. The gallery should be working again sometime on Monday, June 27th. I will post an update once I have this fixed.

As I mentioned in the prior post, some things have not changed. Case in-point The Centerpoint Condominiums. This residential project started in 2005 feature two towers, 22 and 30 floors. Construction stopped sometime in 2008 when the original lender declared bankruptcy. The smaller tower was nearly completed and the second tower only half way completed. This project remained idle until the property was sold to a new developer at the end of February 2011. I happen to be back out in the area last week for The Mill Avenue District Festival of the Arts. A lot has changed and surprisingly some things haven’t.
