Mozilla Messaging has released Thunderbird 2.0.0.23 on August 20th. Users will be prompted for an automatic update within the next 72 hours.Those wishing to upgrade now can do so via the Help Menu, Check For Updates option or by downloading the latest release at getthunderbird.com. On April 18, 2007 Mozilla Thunderbird 2 was released. Two years later Thunderbird 3 is still in development with an unknown projected release date (and certainly not the End of 2008 as had been planed in January 2008). Beta 3 is currently scheduled for May 5, 2009.
